Asking Yourself This One Question Will Unlock A Whole New World Of PR Pitching Possibilities
The best advice I've ever shared. Or at least in the top 5... But epic more likely than not...
Hello from the Hamptons!
There’s so much in this post from press opps to what I am sure is a level of advice I can only describe as EPIC! If you’re struggling to pitch your client, this could change everything.

Ways To Decorate A Small Bedroom When The Bed Takes Up Most Of The Room
I want to hear from interior designers only. What are some good ways to decorate a small bedroom when the bed takes up most of the room? What should you do about a dresser and/or nightstands? Any other smart ideas for furniture placement and aesthetic choices? Lighting?
Things Chefs Always Buy From Dollar Tree
I want to hear from pro chefs only. I don’t need links to the site, but maybe things like spatulas or disposable roasting pans. What can you buy there for the kitchen and why? Maybe even some sort of cleaning product.
And now the main course…
Asking Yourself This One Question Will Unlock A Whole New World Of Pitching Possibilities
But before I tell you what the question is, let’s talk about the brand Revolve—and how I came to this conclusion.
I believe Revolve currently employs some of the best marketing and PR minds out there. It’s undeniably one of the hottest fashion brands right now. Influencers are all over them, and the invite lists for their events and influencer trips include all the pretty and popular girls.
My experience at one of their events in the Hamptons helped me understand why. I’m going to share it with you—but first, a confession.
I wasn’t always into the brand.
Sure, they’re a curated marketplace offering clothing, beauty products, and home goods from top-tier brands. But that was also kind of the problem. I used to find the site a little overwhelming.
Now, before I get myself in trouble with Revolve, I’ll admit that I feel that way about a lot of websites. I’m just a less-is-more kind of person—and a little lazy, to be honest.
AND THEN ONE DAY, EVERYTHING CHANGED. I clicked an email they sent with a subject line that read: French Girl Edit (or something like that).
From then on, it was oui oui oui all the way home for me. At the time, I happened to be shopping for a dress to wear while hosting a panel for a furniture company in Vegas at KBIS (so I had to look pretty but also profresh). I found the most gorgeous cream colored boucle dress from their collab with Marianna Hewitt. It was so sophisticated and quiet luxury. It made me feel really good (especially in what was still a very postpartum body at the time).
Revolve in the Hamptons — and the Bigger Picture
So, I’m currently working on an article for Forbes about Revolve’s presence in the Hamptons, and I was invited to two of their events. They are doing a bunch of events here, and FWRD (their luxury designer platform) even opened a physical pop-up in Bridgehampton.
I had a wonderful conversation with their marketing and PR team about the brand as a whole and working with content creators (I hate the term influencer). We chatted about why The Hamptons was part of their strategy beyond the aesthetics and landscape.
Then, a few days later, I had a major epiphany about PR that might just change everything for you. If you can answer this ONE question, an entirely new level of opportunities will be unlocked. If you’re having trouble pitching your clients or finding the perfect angle, and you’re not a premium subscriber, I highly suggest becoming one.
